Reviews

My favorite part of the weekend was connecting with other women and finding a deeper connection to myself. Taking a moment to pause and center myself has been the most grounding moment of this year. I am looking forward to charging forward into this next season with a refreshed outlook. Thank you!

Weekend Getaway Attendee

I kept noticing how many coincidences and little gifts from the universe everyone was receiving. Whether it was people’s stories; tokens of appreciation that were meaningful in special ways; our names, experiences, and backgrounds; and so many other things that brought us together regardless of differences.

Weekend Getaway Attendee

I watched women arrive with fear and leave with an open heart. As did I. It’s hard to leave one story, as the entire story (weekend) was the most impactful experience I could have imagined!

Weekend Getaway Attendee

I had several “inner body” experiences that were so powerful. The grief yoga was by far the most powerful of my movement classes. I was FINALLY able to let out all the anger that has been building for two years as I tried to remain calm and strong for my daughter through our family’s trauma. And it felt so good. That anger, that trauma, has really blocked me from so much of myself. And that’s when I felt myself finally starting to let go. It was beautiful and amazing.

FAQ

We're glad you have questions. If you can't find your answer, contact us.

Check in for the 2023 weekend begins at 1pm on Friday, September 29. Our first shared meal is dinner, so we recommend stopping for lunch on the way.

Friday afternoon is yours to join a movement class, sit by the lake, or settle in to your weekend home and enjoy the beautiful spaces before some all group activities geared to get you grounded and grooving. If you are going to be arriving late please let us know in advance.

Departure is 4pm on Sunday, October 1 after a blissful day that includes breakfast and lunch.

Say what? You won’t want to leave! Although attendees are allowed to leave early, Rise Weekend is packed with so much goodness – we recommend that you plan accordingly and enjoy the entire experience. However, if you need to leave early, please inform us before Rise begins.

If you need to leave the Weekend early for any circumstance, we are unable to prorate or refund your ticket. Please see our Terms & Conditions.

Our weekend home of Trail’s End is a premier overnight camp in the summer months as well as a wedding and retreat center for adult groups in the fall and spring.

There are a variety of options for accommodations. Please see our full list of accommodations so you can decide for yourself if you want to sleep in a cabin with 6 – 8 other women, a newly renovated suite with a small group, a quaint space with one or two friends, or in your own private room. All of the accommodations have screened windows, heat, and electricity; are a step out the door into nature; and have clean bathrooms, sinks, and showers.

Bunking Requests? You can get snuggly in a bunk or private room with your friends and family that are coming for the weekend! Provide us with your requests at ticket purchase or send us an email and we will be sure you are with your requests.

Nope – we’ve got you covered! You will be provided with bedding basics: towels, sheets, one pillow and a lightweight blanket. Feel free to supplement with your own cozy supplies if you think you’ll want more coverage! Check the weather and throw in an extra blanket if you think you’ll need one! Don’t worry, in addition to linens, we will send you a detailed packing list so you are fully prepared.

Yes, you will be in good company! Some women come with friends, co-workers, sisters, mothers, daughters or neighbors, and many also come on their own. We provide bonding opportunities to cultivate community, as well as ample spaces to sit quietly by yourself.  It’s your dream weekend, we encourage you to show up for yourself – by yourself! If you come on your own and choose a shared accommodation, we will assign you to a bunk with other awesome women like you who said “YOLO! I’m coming solo!”

The weekend is beautifully curated for you to create your own experience and choose from our 40+ workshop and workout offerings. A few weeks before the weekend you will receive an email with the full description of Rise workshops and facilitators and have the opportunity to reserve your spot in the workshops of your choosing. You will also have the opportunity to sign up for individual healing sessions with our incredible team of practitioners. All workshops and workouts are included in your ticket price; healing sessions are optional and are an additional charge.

Retreats aren’t just for yogis!  Rise Weekend is “yoga optional!” There is a diverse array of offerings and every workshop welcomes the first timer and the pro.  There are opportunities to participate in incredible movement and workout sessions and yoga is only one of the many options! You’ll choose the one that feels good to you.  Many of our facilitators use meditation as a tool for growth and learning so you’ll have the opportunity to try it out or return to it as a way to connect to yourself.

Transformative, fun and freeing! Rise Gatherings workshops are facilitated experiences. Don’t expect to sit in rows and listen to lectures. Our facilitators are gifted experience creators and use a variety of ways to guide you to learn, grow and glow! In addition to imparting wisdom and tools, they will facilitate a full experience that may have you moving, talking, thinking and connecting – as much as you’d like within your comfort zone (or beyond!).  We limit the number of participants in each workshop in order to keep them small and ensure an intimate space where you can have a meaningful experience with yourself and others.

Up to you! On Sunday there will be a Rise Marketplace with lots of uniquely awesome gifts and treats for you to purchase (cash or credit card) if you desire.  But this can for sure be a no wallet weekend – all meals, workshop experiences, and classes are included with your ticket purchase.

All food has been selected and designed to give you the most freshly prepared, wholesome nourishment throughout the weekend with ideas to bring home to your kitchen! There is something for everyone  – vegan, paleo, gluten free, etc. We prioritize plant powered nutrition to fuel you with as many whole food nutrients as possible. You will be inspired by the meals prepared for you to enjoy a high vibe, socially conscious weekend. We are offering workshops to educate you on the idea of fueling yourself this way in your life beyond the retreat.

If there is anything specific you need, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We are here to accommodate you.

You must be at least 14 to attend accompanied by an adult and 18 to attend this event alone. However, there is no age limit for enjoying this experience! It is for growing women in all stages and phases of life!  Our weekends have a delightful representation of women of all ages from teens to grandmas. There will be workshops specifically designed for the teens to connect and the wise aging to continue their journey as well.

Contact us if you’d like to discuss further!

Think minimal! No need for excess this weekend except for excessive fun and experiences. You will need clothing and toiletry essentials. Also think about what activities you wish to participate in and pack accordingly. You can find our Full Packing List from 2022 here.

So close! It’s a perfect road trip from the tri-state area! Trail’s End Camp, home of the Rise Gatherings weekend, is about 2 hours from both Philly and NYC.

We wish we could pick you up and road trip together with the windows down as we sing out loud – but no, there will not be transportation provided.  We have a Weekend Facebook Group for attendees to connect and coordinate car pools.

The Historic Honesdale Bus Station is a 20 minute car ride to Trail’s End Camp. You will be responsible for your ride from the bus station to Trails End Camp.

Wilkes Barre Scranton International Airport is about an hour away from Trail’s End Camp and Lehigh Valley Airport in Allentown is 1 hour, 45 minutes away. Newark International Airport is two hours from Trail's End and Philadelphia Airport or JFK are about three hours away.

You will be responsible for your ride from the airport to Trails End Camp.

What about the weather?! The weather will have no effect on the power of Rise Gatherings! The Poconos fall weather in September and October tends to be delightfully crisp and cool (highs during the day in the mid to high 60s, lows at night in the high 40s). Think layers…long & short sleeve tees during the day layered with a sweatshirt and light jacket at night. All workshops and activities will have fab indoor locations to gather in case of rain. Many meeting spaces and all bunks will have heat going if needed. All accommodations are heated.

We invite you to disconnect with email, social media, texts, and phone calls for the weekend in order to connect fully with the Rise experience. Cell phone use is restricted to private spaces out of view and earshot of others. If you’d like to go “full detox” we offer a cell-phone check in upon arrival. Notify your loved ones that you are taking this time for you.

Nope. Drugs and alcohol are not a part of this experience. Rise is about discovering that natural high and living purely within it.

We Rise all year long! We offer FREE Online Workshops, Forest Bathing Mini Day Retreats in New Hope, PA, pop up events at studios, and can even come to you!  Contact us if you are interested in creating a unique virtual or in person celebration, staff development, off-site, even a college, book club or family reunion with Rise Gatherings – we’d love to create an uplifting, bonding and empowering experience for your group.

We hope not, but in case of an emergency on camp grounds, we will help in whatever capacity is needed. There are trained professionals on staff in case of illness or accident. There is also a hospital close by if needed.
