Check in for the 2024 weekend begins at 1pm on Friday, September 20. Our first shared meal is dinner, so we recommend stopping for lunch on the way.

Friday afternoon is yours to join a movement class, sit by the lake, or settle in to your weekend home and enjoy the beautiful spaces before some all group activities geared to get you grounded and grooving. If you are going to be arriving late please let us know in advance.

Departure is 4pm on Sunday, September 22 after a blissful day that includes breakfast and lunch.

Our weekend home, Trail’s End Camp & Retreat Center, is a premier overnight camp in the summer months as well as a wedding venue and retreat center for adult groups in the fall and spring.

There are a variety of options for accommodations. Please see our full list of accommodations so you can decide for yourself if you want to sleep in a Shared Cabin with 6 – 8 other women, a Shared Suite with a small group, a quaint Private or Shared Cottage alone or with friends, or something a little more luxurious with a Room at the Inn just for you or shared with your travelmates.

All of the accommodations have screened windows, heat, and electricity; are a step out the door into nature; and have clean bathrooms, sinks, and showers.

Bunking Requests? You can get snuggly in a bunk or private room with your friends and family that are coming for the weekend! Provide us with your requests at ticket purchase or send us an email and we will be sure your bunking requests are honored.

Coming alone but want to share accommodations? No problem! We'll assign you with other guests who are traveling solo.

Nope – we’ve got you covered! You will be provided with bedding basics: towels, sheets, one pillow and a lightweight blanket. Feel free to supplement with your own cozy supplies if you think you’ll want more coverage!

Check the weather and throw in an extra blanket if you think you’ll need one! It tends to get fairly chilly in the Poconos in September. Don’t worry, in addition to linens, we will send you a detailed packing list so you are fully prepared.

Yes, you will be in good company. Some women come with friends, co-workers, sisters, mothers, daughters or neighbors, and many also come on their own. We provide bonding opportunities to cultivate community, as well as ample spaces to sit quietly by yourself. It’s your dream weekend, we encourage you to show up for yourself – by yourself! If you come on your own and choose a shared accommodation, we will assign you to a bunk with other awesome women like you who said “YOLO! I’m coming solo!”

The Weekend is beautifully curated for you to create your own experience and choose from our 40+ workshop and class offerings. A few weeks before the weekend you will receive an email with the full description of Rise workshops and facilitators and have the opportunity to select your workshops. You will also have the opportunity to sign up for individual healing sessions with our incredible team of practitioners. All workshops and classes are included in your ticket price; private sessions are optional and are an additional charge.

Retreats aren’t just for yogis! Rise Weekend is “yoga optional.” There is a diverse array of offerings and every workshop welcomes the first timer and the pro. There are opportunities to participate in incredible movement and meditation sessions and yoga is only one of the many options. You’ll choose the ones that feel good to you. Many of our facilitators use meditation as a tool for growth and learning so you’ll have the opportunity to try it out or return to it as a way to connect to yourself.

Transformative, fun and freeing! Rise Gatherings Workshops are facilitated experiences. Don’t expect to sit in rows and listen to lectures. Our facilitators are gifted experience creators and use a variety of ways to guide you to learn, grow and glow! In addition to imparting wisdom and tools, they will facilitate a full experience that may have you moving, talking,  creating and connecting – as much as you’d like within your comfort zone (or beyond!). We limit the number of participants in each workshop in order to keep them small and ensure an intimate space where you can have a meaningful experience with yourself and others.

Up to you! On Sunday there will be a Rise Marketplace with lots of uniquely awesome gifts and treats for you to purchase (cash or credit card) if you desire.  But this can for sure be a no wallet weekend – all meals, workshop experiences, and classes are included with your ticket purchase.

Our attendees rave about the food! All the wonderful meals and snacks have been selected and designed to give you the most freshly prepared, wholesome nourishment throughout the Weekend with ideas to bring home to your kitchen! There is something for everyone  – vegan, paleo, gluten free, etc. We prioritize plant-powered nutrition to fuel you with as many whole food nutrients as possible. You will be inspired by the meals prepared for you to enjoy a high vibe, socially conscious retreat.

If there is anything specific you need, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We are here to accommodate you.

You must be at least 14 to attend accompanied by an adult and 18 to attend this event alone. However, there is no age limit for enjoying this experience! It is for growing women in all stages and phases of life!  Our Weekends have a delightful representation of women of all ages from teens to grandmas. There will be workshops for teens to connect and the wise aging to continue their journey.

Contact us if you’d like to discuss further!

We wish we could pick you up and road trip together with the windows down as we sing out loud – but no, there will not be transportation provided.  We have a Weekend Getaway Facebook Group for attendees to connect and coordinate car pools.

The Poconos fall weather in September tends to be delightfully crisp and cool (highs during the day in the mid to high 60s).

Think layers…long & short sleeve tees during the day layered with a sweatshirt and jacket at night. All workshops and activities will have indoor locations to gather in case of rain. Many meeting spaces and all sleeping accommodations will have heat going if needed.

Prior to packing, we highly recommend you check the weather for Beach Lake, PA. Fall weather can be unpredictable. It is best to pack for the weather that is forecasted one to two days prior.

We invite you to disconnect with email, social media, and phone calls for the weekend in order to connect fully with the experience. Cell phone use is restricted to private spaces out of view and earshot of others. Notify your loved ones that you are taking this time for you.

Nope. Drugs and alcohol are not a part of this experience. Rise is about discovering that natural high and living within it.

We Rise all year long! We offer FREE Online Workshops, Day Retreats in New Hope, PA, pop up events at studios, and can even come to you!  Contact us if you are interested in creating a unique virtual or in person celebration, staff development, off-site, even a college, book club or family reunion with Rise Gatherings – we’d love to create an uplifting, bonding and empowering experience for your group.

We hope not, but in case of an emergency on camp grounds, we will help in whatever capacity is needed. There are trained professionals on staff in case of illness or accident. There is also a hospital close by if needed.

Forest bathing (shinrin-yoku) broadly means bringing in the forest atmosphere with all of one's senses. Not simply a walk in the woods, it is the conscious and contemplative practice of being immersed in the sights, sounds and smells of the forest. Researchers, primarily in Japan and South Korea, have established a growing body of scientific literature on the diverse health benefits.

Come as you are, leave feeling grounded and renewed! The experience is limited to 15 participants and you'll have time for solitude as well as feeling a connection to your fellow forest bathers. The entire experience takes place outside on a private property and private hiking trail. Rachel and Tami will welcome everyone with an opening circle and then guide you on the trail, pausing to share invitations that will enhance your experience. You'll seal the day with a closing circle and snacks.

The trail includes ascending and descending a moderate incline. The pace is slow throughout the experience.

Yes, there is a home on the property with a lovely bathroom for our use.

Dress comfortably and wear sneakers or hiking shoes with traction. Bring a water bottle and anything else you like to have outdoors (bug spray, hat, etc.).

In case of inclement weather (heat wave, heavy rain) participants will receive an email cancellation the morning of the retreat and a full refund.
